Comment: The reverse of this denarius falls within the theme of family propaganda. The author reminds us of his ancestor P. Sulpicius Galba who managed to defeat the fleet of the Macedonians and Aetolians off the coast of Aegina. Later, the inhabitants of Aegina, where the image of Apollo is highly venerated, were sold as slaves. This is what Cavedoni tells us. The aforementioned character, P. Sulpicius Galba, was proconsul in 209 BC
