Comment: This denarius is clearly related to the cult that Sulla had for Venus, hence the image of Venus was placed on the obverse. On the reverse side it leads us to the defeat of Yughurta. Sulla struck up a great friendship with Bacchus, king of Mauretania, and got him to finally hand over Yughurta to him. Sulla decided, inspired by this fact, to remember it on a seal that he used as a personal seal and this denarius is supposed to be a copy of that seal.
