Comment: The author of this denarius is the son of Q. Marcius, who triumphed in 169 in Macedonia. For this reason and to remember the feat of his father, he placed the Macedonian horseman and helmet on the back. Later his son, L Marcius, minted another denarius in which he also made reference to the same fact of his ancestor (see Craw 293/1).
