Reverse: Venus in biga, right, reins in left hand and usually whip in right; behind, Cupid, crowning Venus. Linear border.
Legend: ROMA SEX IVLI CAISAR

Comment: For the first time on the coins of Roma the word CAESAR appears, although on this denarius it is in its primitive form CAISAR. The Julia family, especially the CAESAR, used the image of Venus a lot since they claimed to descend from this divinity through Iulus, son of Aeneas.
