Comment: The Gargilia Family, of plebeian origin, gave to the history of Roma a character known as Gargilius Martilis who, in imperial times, wrote a biography of the severe Emperor Alexander. Also to Gargilius Macer Acidinus, who was Proconsul of Crete and Cyrenaica
