Comment: This denarius has created some controversy over its dating, while Crawford dates it to 211 to 208, Sydenham dates it to 165/155. I believe that Syddenham's dating date is erroneous given that it is very similar in style to this one, and that even its authors were part of the same III VIR of moneyer magistrates. I am referring to an anonymous person with the Garlands symbol on the Dioscuri for which the date given by Sydenham is too late.
